I had huge scratches on my brand new black honda civic coupe and I took it to be fixed. Hey everyoneI have just completed spray painting some repaired sections of my car and it appears that due to the age of my car 2001 or a bad mixture at the auto shop, the new paint doesn't match that well. It's not that noticable from say 3 metres but it is when up close.Would anybody know steps I could take to sort of blend the colours together more? Perhaps a light sand around the edges of the new paint or a polish? Or perhaps the new paint will fade as I have my car parked in the sun alot?Any help appreciated DThanksIt is a metallic paint in a champagne like colour and I sprayed it from an aerosol can. When I say not matched up, it's the same basic colour but perhaps a different shade.

So some lady decided to scrape up one side of my bmw with her door. I had the paint shop match the paint and they had to re paint the whole side. It matches but you can tell its fresh paint and on the hood its not. What if anything can i do to try to make the hood shine as new as the side. Another thing that sucks its a chameleon paint,
Why do some new cars paint jobs look so dull?
It's mainly cars that have black paint, Am i the only one who notices this? I have seen many new cars from Kias to Bentleys that have a really dull paint job, it looks terrible, is that because the color black is hard to take care of or.......what? Im asking because i will be getting a new car very soon, and i really like how the color black looks on cars, but lately ive been thinking, i dont want it to look dull .
